Both LASIK (Laser-assisted in situ keratomileuses) and PRK (Photorefractive keratectomy) are surgical eye procedures that are performed on an individual’s cornea to reshape, correct and improve their eyesight.
Both surgical techniques can effectively correct Myopia (nearsightedness), Hyperopia (farsightedness) and Astigmatism (abnormality in the curvature of the eye) in patients.
While they are both useful in the correction of visual disorders, they have different approaches. There are several distinctions between these two techniques. Please visit our FAQs page for more information on these differences.
